2009-05-20 – Elemental Technologies today announced the beta release of Elemental Server, the first video processing system based on graphics processing units (GPUs). By harnessing the power of parallel processors like never before in a server appliance, Elemental Server will enable broadcasters, studios, online video platforms, and major web video publishers to quickly and cost-effectively encode and transcode video for delivery to consumers wherever they want to watch it-from HDTVs to Web browsers to mobile phones.

2008-10-22 – Elemental announced today the launch of the BadaboomTM Media Converter, a dynamic new platform for formatting video files for portable media players.
2008-07-17 – Elemental has closed its first round of venture capital financing. Industry leaders General Catalyst Partners of Boston, Massachusetts and Voyager Capital of Seattle, Washington co-led this $7.1M investment.
2007-12-14 – Elemental announced today that it successfully secured $1.05M in seed funding. The round was led by the Oregon Angel Fund, with participation from several other Northwest angel investing groups including the Bend Venture Conference and Seattle Alliance of Angels.
2006-10-16 – Elemental today announced that Pixelworks, Inc. (NASDAQ:PXLW), a leading provider of system-on-chip ICs for the advanced display industry, has agreed to provide seed funding for the company. Elemental Technologies (ETI) is a start-up semiconductor design company founded by three engineers, including Mike West, a Pixelworks co-founder. Elemental is focused on creating a revolutionary network-aware distributed display processing architecture.
