In a tiered cloud services offering, Elemental ACT will provide customers a wide range of options for accelerated video conversion with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
2010-11-02 – Elemental Technologies today announced it is exhibiting at Streaming Media West (SMW) 2010 in Los Angeles, Calif., Nov. 2-3. 2010-09-10 – Elemental Technologies will show the world’s first live streaming 3D video in 1080p at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) Sept.10-14. Elemental will collaborate with Microsoft, Level 3 and TVN Group to deliver 3D content live over the Internet using Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) Smooth Streaming in Elemental stand 13.C25 and at the Microsoft Corp. venue in the Topaz Lounge.

2010-07-27 – Elemental Technologies today announced it has raised $7.5 million in Series B financing. Steamboat Ventures, a venture capital firm affiliated with The Walt Disney Company, joined existing venture funds General Catalyst and Voyager Capital in the financing round.
2010-07-14 – Elemental Technologies today announced that News-Press & Gazette (NPG) selected Elemental Server for deployment across its affiliate stations to upgrade content delivery for current and future broadcast media demands. Elemental Server’s initial installations were implemented within the broadcast workflow at KESQ in Palm Springs, Calif. and KTVZ in Bend, Ore. to quickly prepare incoming PitchBlue® files for on-air playout.
2010-06-14 – Elemental Technologies today announced that GameSpot is using Elemental Live, its real-time video encoder, to stream on demand HD content from the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this week. CBS Interactive’s GameSpot, the most-visited gaming website in the world, is leveraging Elemental Live’s massively parallel horsepower and unique Smart Archive capabilities to more efficiently stream more than 45 hours of show content to the web.

NAB marked the unveiling of Elemental Live, a GPU-accelerated, enterprise-class video processing system that provides content distributors with video and audio encoding for live streaming to new media platforms.

With more than 25 years experience building and driving sales in the enterprise storage, media and broadcast markets, Marshall brings strong leadership skills to his new role at Elemental Technologies. As Vice President of Sales, Marshall will spearhead development of a global sales team and worldwide sales strategy to drive adoption of Elemental’s enterprise-class video encoding products.
