Sony is providing the bulk of the cameras to film the 2014 World Cup along with the production equipment to support the delivery of content to broadcasters around the globe. Sony is also sourcing 4K content during select finals matches for a variety of programmers, including the BBC. This video provides a peek at the massive logistics involved in capturing content from 12 venues in Brazil during the tournament.
In collaboration with Elemental and Broadcom, Brazilian cable and satellite TV service provider Globosat will deliver three World Cup matches in 4K Ultra HD to select subscribers and pay TV operators in South America via its SPORTV channel.
